Longleaf Pine
When Europeans arrived in North America, Longleaf Pine forests covered the continent from the Atlantic to the Gulf of Mexico – hundreds of millions of acres.
Three percent of that original forest remains.
In 2023 we droneseed 6,000 acres in Hickory Creek, Mississippi, to trial longleaf seedpod recipes and dispersion strategies. We will also trial our aerial Seedpod Ejection Device, or SEEDer, an innovation capable of automating landscape-scale restoration.
